I'm not usually a bug fan, but since I've gotten my new camera, I'm learning to appreciate them more. Well, not the gross ones like roaches- they can piss off. But I have a new appreciation for moths, especially after seeing this guy's adorable little face!

Undiscovered Shop of the Week 2/21 - 2/27
I lead an Etsy team called Team Discovery. Our team is dedicated to finding and promoting fresh, undiscovered shops with less than 20 sales. A new tradition I've started on the team is an Undiscovered Shop o'the Week. Each week we feature a different undiscovered shop and include them in treasuries. All week long. Our goal is to get them noticed, get them discovered, and get them some sales!

Feature Friday 9/3: Meet FallenPeach!
I'd like to introduce everyone to Lindsey, from FallenPeach.
FallenPeach is an Etsy shop that sells bookmarks, magnets, and greeting cards, all made from photographs that Lindsey took herself. There are some fantabulous things to choose from!
I recently caught up with Lindsey and asked her some questions to share with my readers.

First off, tell me a little bit about yourself. (Just a brief biography)
Lindsey from FallenPeach:Hi my name is Lindsey and I’m a graphic designer and photographer living in southern Connecticut. I went to school to be a writer, but followed a slightly different creative path not long after graduation. Some of my favorite things are reading, having adventures, and making useful things.

How and when did you start your craft?
FP:
I started making things like bookmarks out of my photography about a year ago, but I’ve been a photographer and a creative person my whole life. I started really focusing on photography in high school, became distracted with writing in college and then went back to photography post college.

How did you originally find Etsy? Have you or do you sell anywhere else?
FP:
Honestly, I can’t really remember how I first found Etsy. I think it might have been after picking up some business cards at a Renegade Craft Fair in New York. I sell at craft fairs around Connecticut at on Etsy. Some of my bookmarks can be found in a store called Dava in Hamden CT.

What inspires you the most?
FP:
I love to look up and down when others look straight ahead. Much of the time, inspiration comes from fully immersing myself in wherever I happen to be. I love to travel and a lot of my photos come from adventures that my boyfriend and I take.

What is your favorite piece you’ve created and why?
FP:
On our last road trip I took some amazing photographs, and I think this is one of my favorites. The full image features a zebra printed couch as well, and will soon be available as a greeting card. But I love how the photo cropped for this bookmark as well.

Do you have any new creations or debuting designs in the works? What can my readers expect to see from you soon?
FP:
I have a whole stack of new bookmarks and greeting cards to list in the coming months. Many of them have a retro feel and come from a recent three week cross country road trip. I’m also extremely excited to be introducing my boyfriend Matt’s work into the store, starting with Halloween illustrations. Already you can find his work on bookmarks and a set of cards, more will be coming soon.

What's your personal motto?
FP:
I don’t know if it’s a motto, per se, but I try to live every day individually and stay positive. Negativity does no good and it’s important to live your life instead of waiting for things to come.

Emily: Hi! I'm Emily, I'm 25 and a creative girl who has always worked for herself.
I started off making greeting cards and gifts, selling them at craft fairs and later through my own website. With my own website I got dragged into the world of SEO (search engine optimization) and HTML which progressed into me doing a spot of freelance web-site design. But for the last few years my heart has been in photography and I'm now giving it my all!
I'm English but moved to the Greek island of Crete when I was 18 with my family where I stayed for 5-6 years until I met a boy back home and decided that the long-distance relationship couldn't remain long distance forever and so moved back to the UK. I now spend my summers in England and part of the Winters in Greece so I kind of have the best of both worlds!

Emily: I do! My hero at the moment would be the owner of Dots and Spots, Becky Peabody. Becky is going places with a successful trade show under her belt, agents, soon-to-be premises outside of her home plus lots of orders! I aspire to be the photographer version of her and her business!
Next on my To Do List is "Inchies" - I'm thinking of putting together several collection of photographs in a 1x1inch size for jewelry designer to use in their scrabble tile pendant creations.
I would also really like to work on more collage prints similar to the Beaches Print I have and to introduce greeting cards to my Etsy store.
Really, I have so much I want to do that my To Do List and Aha moments are never ending!

Emily: I can't say I had a love of photography from a young age as that's just not true - My camera would come out a few times a year for Christmas and Vacations where I would take the basic snapshots that we all have! But in 2004 I bought my first digital camera - Purely for taking product photos of my handmade cards and gifts. Well, somewhere along the line (or year!) I fell into photography realizing I liked this, could do it - and make money from it!
ww: How did you originally find Etsy? Have you or do you sell anywhere else?
Emily: I found Etsy back in 2005 when I set up a store selling my handmade cards and gifts, but for various reasons never really commited to Etsy so it was a bit of an on-off relationship! Emily: I have lots of favorites! Right now I would have to say it is my Tuscany print. I saw this scene and instantly knew I had to capture a little glimpse into travel and the mediterranean but on a gloomy day with specks of rain starting to fall I wasn't sure how it would turn out.
ww: Do you have any new creations or debuting designs in the works? What can my readers expect to see from you soon?
Emily: I'm currently beavering away designing 2011 calendars for my Zazzle site.Next on my To Do List is "Inchies" - I'm thinking of putting together several collection of photographs in a 1x1inch size for jewelry designer to use in their scrabble tile pendant creations.
