Quick Pic of the Gimp

i will post more of an update when i have time, but i just wanted to share a picture of Gimpy for those of you who have been sending love and following his story.

his poor little leg was removed yesterday and he had a rough evening.

this was taken today (day 1 post-op) after he had some lunch and i'd spent a good half hour scratching his head and rubbing his cheeks. he HATES the cone of shame but he has to wear it. and his purr motor works just fine!

Thanks so much for the update - have been thinking about him. I hope he's doing as well as possible, despite the surgery and cone (my cats HATE the cones, but they are necessary)!

Sending him love and good thoughts.

Oh, that's just the saddest thing! I know cats can adapt pretty well to being three legged, but still- SO SAD! The last time one of our cats had to wear a cone, it was Buddy at 5 months after his neutering (which I don't think he's ever forgiven us for) and he got that think off in about half an hour.

sorry, that should say got that *thing* off, Buddy isn't much of a thinker unless it's thinking about food.

I'm happy he's ok though..will take some time to get used to not having all 4 legs, so so sad. God bless you, big hugs, wishing you and your family and Gimpy all the luck and love and health in the world.
